Peavey developed the Valve King series of amplifiers with one goal in mind - to put real boutique features and tone technology into the hands of real working musicians. In contrast with similarly featured 'boutique' amplifiers, the Valve King head is no trophy-room amp - it's rugged, roadready and made to be played. The 12AX7 and 6L6GC all-tube power would be enough to make the Valve King a force to be reckoned with, but Peavey didn't stop there. The Valve King sports two independent channels, each with its own 3-band EQ. The Lead channel features volume and gain boost. In the master section you'll find patented Resonance and Presence controls. While Resonance acts as a low frequency enhancement, Presence works similar 'magic' on the high frequencies.
Peavey Valve King amps feature a patented, variable Class A-A/B control, which allows sweepable selection between Class A and Class A/B power structures, as well as any combination of the two. With this feature, guitarists can coax virtually any tone from this tweaked-out amplifier. For the recording musician, the Valve King features a USB direct recording output, which pipes the mic'ed amp vibe directly into a computer. On the rear panel, the built-in Peavey MSDI (Microphone Simulated Direct Interface) XLR direct interface eliminates the need for miking by allowing users to send the amp's signal directly to a recording device or mixing console. True to its name, Valve King even includes the new TSI tube-monitoring indicator that keeps you apprised of the health of your tubes!
Valve King offers other high-end features like 3-way variable power switch, so you can tailor your output to your performance situation without compromising tone.
