Catalinbreads SFT bass overdrive brings the popular sound of driven Ampeg amplifiers in a compact stompbox format. The SFT gives musicians the chance to control the amount of grind solely based on your finger attack - full and rich and clean when you brush lightly and some nice wooly edge when you dig in. At the other end of the sonic spectrum Catalinbread wanted a drive pedal that could deliver bone-crunching grind and still hold together without sounding thin or turning into a sludgy mess no matter how hard you hit it.

The cornerstone of the pedal is the dynamic sensitivity and the big, lively, responsive tone – you feel completely connected to it and control it all through your hands, nothing gets in the way. Catalinbread also listened for that classic Ampeg SVT EQ voicing, so they scoped it out and found it, and it was good. Then they added some really flexible Treble and Bass controls so you can dial in the right amount of feel - if you wanted a more edgy grind or a looser bottom it was super easy to dial it in with a minimum of tweaking. The drive character was also especially set for bass guitars - it had to be clean but really full sounding when you picked lightly, and blossom into that huge rich grind when you hit it harder. It had to decay in a certain way, no fizzy stuff as the notes or chords die off. It needed to respond in a very dynamic way just like the amps do – no generic smothering of the transients, it needed to breathe.

The redesigned Catalinbread Semaphore combines a fantastic audio path with a diverse tremolo that has a bottomless feature set including 8 different waveforms, tap tempo and divide, tap tempo input, and expression pedal capabilities. It's small footprint combined with a feature set that suits both foot tappers and knob twiddlers alike, makes the Semaphore both versatile and pedalboard friendly. At the heart of the Semaphore is a lush audio path that incorporates optically controlled JFET gain stages to sculpt a gorgeous clean boost sound, that is present and alive without being peaky or harsh.

The rate control adjusts the speed of the tremolo. On the Semaphore this knob's characteristics are affected by the position of the Tap Divide control. If the Tap divide is set at a higher rate, you will notice that the Rate knobs sweep will change as well. The expression pedal nullifies the rate control when plugged in. The Tap Divide works as the engine for the Tap function of the Semaphore and multiplies the tapped tempo by the corresponding note beats. The Shape control is used to morph the selected waveshape. At noon your waveshape will represent the shape on the Waveshape control, but to either side this shape will slant providing numerous sounds and endless possibilities. The Depth control dials in how much tremolo is in your signal. Dialed all the way down, the Semaphore can be used as a boost, and you can bring up the depth enough for slight shimmers in your signal, or all out depth, for maximum effect.

Catalinbread RAH 189,00 �

In January 1970 Led Zeppelin hit the stage of London's historic concert hall, Royal Albert Hall. At this performance Jimmy Page expressed himself masterfully with a broad pallet of tones and giant dynamic range. Catalinbread loves the performance and with RAH stompbox, they capture the unique sound and put it into a pedal.

This overdrive effects pedal features the specific three-knob tone circuit straight from the custom 'Jimmy Page' model Hiwatt. Like most traditional amp EQ circuits, the knobs are interactive, meaning turning one can alter the behavior of the other. The magic is getting the Mid and Bass controls dialed in together. Tweak those until you get the right tone for your guitar and amp. You'll notice that the Treble knob is fairly subtle, adding a bit of bite as it is turned up. If you scoop the Mid and turn up the Bass however, the Treble knob will seem a lot more active. The RAH is designed to deliver guitarists an incredible dynamic range that responds to picking hand and / or volume knob. Like a good amplifier the RAH is very uncompressed, which means there is little to 'hide behind'. This pedal is for players who appreciate the rewards and experience of a wide dynamic response. Plug the RAH into a clean(ish) tube amplifer, leave the pedal on all the time accessing clean tones by rolling back your guitar's volume knob, or turn it on and off as your 'gain channel'.

Catalinbread Pareidolia 189,00 �

The Pareidolia stompbox from Catalinbread creates an unique effect mix of tremolo, vibrato, phaser and filter and replicates the sound of an early 60's Fender harmonic vibrato. In direct comparison to the Twin Amp, the pedal has a larger speed range and a lot more depth to extend the sound spectrum and to offer guitarists a maximum of possible applications. The controls are simple, but powerful. The sinewave LFO is controlled by two knobs, DEPTH and RATE. The Depth control is able to go from just a slight shimmer in your sound to undulating ocean waves. The Rate ranges from molasses slow phase sweeps to lush tremolo and skittery chops. The Volume, obviously, controls the loudness and was designed to pull double duty as a fantastic boost when the Depth is off.

Like most other Catalinbread pedals, the Pareidolia was designed for both 9 V and 18 V operation. Catalinbread worked very hard tuning this pedal, and the result is a complex modulation that is quite literally a mesmerizing effect, where you stop thinking and just start playing. It frees your mind to be creative. It is hypnotic, yet unlike over the top modulation effects the Pareidolia doesn't own your sound, allowing your playing to shine through. And unlike other modulation pedals it is less picky in its placement with other pedals. Whether the Pareidolia is placed pre-dirt, post-dirt, or sandwiched between, this pedal still sounds great.

Without a doubt, Catalinbread's Perseus is among the coolest analog octave-down fuzzes out there! The Perseus is an octave-down fuzz that allows you to select either one or two octaves down mixed with a fuzz sound that you can blend to any mix of the two you want, including just the fuzz or just the sub-octave. The stompbox can track the sub-octave note accurately no matter where on the neck you are playing!

The Perseus features three knobs and an octave switch. The Volume has plenty of output so you can pummel your amp to your heart's desire! Unity volume is around 10:00. The Blend allows you mix the fuzz and octave sounds in any amount you want. The Cut control is something special on the Perseus. Turn the Cut control full-counterclockwise for maximum bass frequency domination. Turn it clockwise to trim the fat. The Catalinbread Merkin is a fuzz pedal that's just right for classic sixties fuzz sounds and beyond! Extended and refined from a classic fuzz circuit, this 3 silicon transistor circuit is very textural, varying from blunt to ripping. It's controls are simple, a volume, and a texture knob with huge range, from cleanish blend counter-clockwise to full fuzz as you turn the knob clockwise. The used components deliver a sweet yet buzzing tone which still has a very touch sensitive response. The Merkin is also very responsive to your guitar's volume and tone controls. Along with a slew of sixties fuzz sounds from the Ventures to the Stooges and many points in between, The Merkin Fuzz is able to do octave-up sounds by using your guitar's neck pickup with the tone rolled off. The Catalinbread Naga Viper is a booster in the grand old tradition of the Dallas Rangemaster 'Treble-Booster'. The Rangemaster has been used by many influential guitarists including Tony Iommi, Brian May, Marc Bolan and Glen Tipton of Judas Priest. The Naga Viper enhances the classic circuit with the addition of two extra controls - Range and Heat. The original Rangemaster had just one control - Boost. The Range knob is a continuous control allows you to go from classic treble-boost to a full-range boost and anywhere in-between. The Heat knob gives you control over the gain level, unlike the original which was fixed at maximum gain.

The effect pedal can be used classical in front of a distorted amplifier and it also harmonizes with other overdrive or dirt effects such as the Dirty Little Secret or the CB30. Catalinbread Octapussy 179,00 �

The Octapussy stompbox from Catalinbread is an extremely versatile octave fuzz. With the Octapussy, you can play sweet, breathy, delicate octave-up melodies up high on the neck, soaring leads that are full sounding with upper harmonics that bloom as you hold that bend, get tough sounding almost ring modulated double-stops that growl when you sustain it, obtain sounds that evoke Caribbean steel drums, get massively huge grinding, industrial-strength power chords or riff out with a textured, harmonically rich fuzz tone that can achieve cello-like qualities - the capabilities of the Octapussy are virtually unlimited.

The Gain control increases the gain for more fuzz, harmonics, and uppermidrange frequency boost. It is voiced to be usable throughout its range from minimum all the way to maximum. The Body control increases the bass response as well as making the octave more prominent. The Attenuate control should normally be set full counter-clockwise. For best tone and response, only attenuate when you've got the Gain and Body knobs really cranking and need to reduce the output some.

Catalinbread Montavillian 189,00 �

Catalinbread developed the Montavillian for one reason: the pedal should emulate the stunning sound and the incredible feeling of old tube echos. The OPA2134 Burr Brown opamp makes the dry signal sound and feel better when on than with the pedal bypassed. The Montavillian Echo also utilizes the PT2399 chip and has no compounding, therefore the echos trail off almost forever over the horizon, disappearing into the ether rather than crash landing back to earth. The resulting echos function to provide a sonic soup, a bed of ambience to play over. The illusion of space and size that the Montavillian provides, makes it one of the few stompboxes that comes close to those big old tube echos. The Time control changes the delay time of the effect (60 - 600 ms), the Cut parameter controls a flexible low-pass filter.

A special highlight of Montavillian is the compatibility with other effects and all kinds of distorted or clean amps. Should you need even more headroom the Montavillian can be run at 18 V.

Catalinbread Heliotrope 179,00 �

The Catalinbread Heliotrope combines bit crusher, octaver, harmonizer, ring modulator and Lo-Fi dirt box in one pedal. The stompbox works with guitar, bass, keyboards, etc. and was designed to be intuitive and easy to use even though what it is capable of sonically is actually quite complex and varied. The Heliotrope can be powered from a 9 V - 18 V adapter or a 9 V battery. At 18 V you'll notice more output volume and headroom is available.

Your instrument of choice feeds the Heliotrope an input signal. From it is subtracted the Carrier Frequency. The Carrier Frequency is set by the Hi/Lo switch and the Sample Rate knob. So if the Carrier Frequency is tuned using the Hi/Lo switch and the Sample Rate knob to around 440 Hz and you play a high E string at around 320 Hz the output is roughly 110 Hz or an A String. With a little thinking you can break down all these intervals and harmonize with the pedal - or you can just have fun and set it to an interesting resonant sound and see where it takes you.

The Resolution control determines the duty cycle or the ratio of on to off time of the Carrier Frequency, Volume makes it go loud. Gain distorts and compresses the signal. You can get a decent amount of grit and fuzz out of it for more squarewave synthy type stuff.

Catalinbread Echorec 249,00 �

The Catalinbread Echorec delay is based around the legendary Binson Echorec, an arcane tube echo which incorporated four playback heads and a spinning magnetic drum as its recording medium. The Binson is probably most famously known for Pink Floyd's use of the unit, and has long captivated musicians for both its rhythmic and ambient characteristics. The Catalinbread Echorec has 12 programs which allow for all combinations of the four delay heads (something the original was never capable of.) The original also has a fixed speed, and thus a fixed delay time, while the Catalinbread Echorec can go from 40 ms - 1000 ms. The repeats give you the ability for a single repeat or can go into spaceship feedback. The tone control is very useful, able to be tonally flat or dark and resonant on one side or bright and bubbly on the other. The mix allows for 100% wet or dry signal. Inside the pedal you have the ability to run in true-bypass or trails mode, as well as a trimmer for gain and modulation.

Catalinbread Formula No. 5 179,00 �

The Formula No. 5 was inspired by old tweed amps, most notably the 5E3 circuit. The character of the 5E3 is very unique. It has very minimal power filtering, low plate voltages, elemental tone stack, and does next to nothing to control the low end between gain stages, not to mention the under-rated output transformer and speaker. The entire system runs inefficiently resulting in a loose bass, greasy mids, cutting treble, and incredible grit – none of these qualities were ideal or intentional back in the day. In spite of this, over the past five decades the amp inspired some of the coolest, most sought after guitar tones ever recorded.

Catalinbread captured the unique qualities of these amps in the Formula No. 5. The used cascaded JFET gainstages have much more natural attack/decay than diode clipped rigs which are pingy on the attack and fizzy on the decay, while the used capacitor types enhance the midrange and burnish the treble. Like the 5E3 the Formula No. 5's Gain and Tone controls are highly interactive. The tone circuit is such that it functions as a bright cap or treble rolloff depending on where the Gain is set. The higher the gain the Tone becomes nullified and less effective.

Catalinbread Manx Loaghtan 179,00 �

Although the Big Muff is still produced in series the pedal is without doubt one of the most widely copied, modified or improved effects on the market. The Manx Loaghtan from Catalinbread is more than just another clone - the pedal is based on the original circuit and has been extended with an extremely versatile Baxandall EQ. Crank both treble and bass and you get a classic scooped midrange. Back both off, while turning up the volume knob and your midrange content increases. Park the treble and roll back the bass and the midrange scoop frequency shifts downward so you have complete control over which frequencies you are cutting. Roll the bass below noon and you start to add a bump to your midrange which is great for running into a hot amp. This tone control style is capable of numerous sounds, making the Manx Loaghtan one of the most versatile pedals of this style.

In addition to the effective control options for the tone, the Manx Loaghtan convinces with its incredible sustain. The stompbox delivers a flute like sing with nice upper harmonics ringing through. Guitar players are able to use this into a hot amp if they wish to, so when you lower the bass nice mid range content can cut through. Catalinbread also wanted the SUSTAIN range to be usable all the way throughout the dial.

Catalinbread Callisto 209,00 �

The Catalinbread Callisto is a chorus / vibrato pedal, which employs an MN3007 Bucket Brigade chip at its core. It's interface is simple, intuitive, and provides a multitude of sounds ranging from subtle and shimmer to rotary speaker-like to off-kilter warping/warble sounds. A twist of the DENSITY knob continuously adjusts the delay line time delivering classic chorus sounds from 'fat and warm' to 'airy and subtle'. MIX knob smoothly dials everything from lush chorusing, to true pitch vibrato, to sea sickening warble, and has the ability to run clean dry to completely wet. The sweep depth of the chorusing is controlled by the WIDTH control. The RATE range can go from slow and syrupy to almost ring-mod intensity.

Catalinbread CB30 179,00 �

The Catalinbread CB30 was designed to give you jangly, dynamic, responsive overdriven tones, just like the Vox AC30. The tone controls work exactly the same way as the actual amp, where the more the treble and bass increase, the more scooped the mids become, making it capable of being quite hollow and jangly. The CB30 can be dialed in for that immediate attack, compressed mid range honk, finished by the shimmery high end jangle, an elusive sound for many players. Like all the foundation pedals in Catalinbread's line it sounds excellent on its own, or when stacked with other pedals (just wait until you put a treble boost in front).

Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret MkIII 179,00 �

The Dirty Little Secret (DLS) MkIII is the third edition of the popular Marshall-style overdrive pedal from Catalinbread. The stompbox offers guitar players the authentic sound and the realistic feel of a classic Marshall amp, and probably is among the best Amp-In-A-Box pedals on the market. The pedal has an amazing touch sensitivity, with the ability to go from mild crunch to full kerrang with just your picking dynamics. In addition, the DLS cleans up extremely well with your guitar's volume control.

The MkIII version comes with a completely redesigned 3-band EQ tone section, an internal presence trimmer, a much wider gain range and two switchable sound modes. The 'Super Lead' mode of the DLS provides more gain than the old version of the pedal, in addition the response and dynamics has been significantly improved. The gain range now goes from classic plexi all the way to modified JCM800 levels and can get even more raw and open than any previous DLS. This mode was voiced specifically to make humbucker-equipped guitars really rock with clean to scream all from the twist of your guitar's volume knob.

The 'Super Bass' mode is a new voicing that gives you the tone and gain structure of a Marshall Super Bass (similar to a JTM45 or JTM50/100). The Tone Job from EarthQuaker Devices is a complete tone enhancement tool designed around a stereo preamp to cover as much frequency range as possible. The stompbox can handle a wide variety of frequencies from electrical guitars, bass guitar, synthesizer machines and just about anything else you can plug in. The treble, bass and middle controls will cut or boost up to 20 dB. In addition to that, the level control will boost the signal (post EQ) up to 5 times the input depending on where the dial is set.
